Lights Shine Bright at The Sampson

What is quickly becoming a holiday tradition is back for its third year. The Sampson Theatre Lights Display will be in full force on December 7 during Star Shine.  Leading the charge is the Penn Yan Theatre Company’s (PYTCo) Master Electrician, Simon Gaston who first envisioned the production.

A crew of youth and adult volunteers assembled by PYTCo Co-President Dusty Baker have spent several weeks assembling Christmas trees, hanging lights and building small structures.  When it is all said and done, Gaston will sync holiday music to the lights for what is sure to be a spectacle worth seeing.

New this year, Becky Prine, PYTCo Co-President, has assembled brief, live performances. Performers include Izzy Hinkal, Emma Eichenhoffer, Jason Riley and Rachel Dillon, all regular PYTCo performers.  The music for these performances will also be synced to the lights.  PYTCo board members will be on-hand from 4:00 to 8:00 to answer any questions about PYTCo or the Sampson Theatre.
